CDL Flatbed Driver

 SCHEDULE:           

  • 40 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday

  • Day shift

  • Home daily

  • Weekends off

  • Occasional overtime

 WAGES:                   

  • $28 - $33/hr depending on qualifications and experience

  • In addition to the base wage listed, employees are also eligible to earn an additional monthly performance incentive subject to changes in plan design and in accordance with applicable law.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:          

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • CDL Class A license

  • Current DOT medical card

  • Acceptable driving record

  • Prior truck driving experience

  • Familiarity with GPS devices and/or maps

  • Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs

  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Ability to sit for an extended period of time and to stoop, bend and walk

  • This is a safety sensitive position, and as such, applicants are subject to pre-employment drug testing to include screening for marijuana

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dimension lumber, panels, and other building material product knowledge

  • Forklift operating experience

  • Knowledge of equipment capabilities, load capacities, and height and length restrictions

RESPONSIBILITIES:        

  • Safely and efficiently deliver building materials to jobsites

  • Safely and efficiently unload materials at jobsites (ie. forklift, roll off and/or hand unload)

  • Oversee loading of truck and check load for accuracy

  • Complete daily and weekly vehicle safety inspections and maintenance reports and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment

  • Take photos of materials on jobsites upon completion of each delivery

  • Promptly report all accidents and incidents

  • Keep truck supplied, organized and clean

  • Other duties as assigned

Hardware/Lumber Sales Associate

SCHEDULE:

  • 40 hours per week

  • Monday – Friday

  • Some Saturdays

  • Day shift

  • Sundays off

WAGES:

  • $3000/month Salary

  • Plus Commissions: 5% on gross profit of all sales you write up

BENEFITS:

  • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance: Gray Lumber pays 90% of employee premiums and 50% of dependent premiums

  • 401(k) profit sharing: 3% safe harbor contribution + additional 8%+/- discretionary contribution (subject to waiting period and vesting schedule)

  • Paid vacation: 1 week after first year of employment, increasing incrementally up to 3 weeks maximum

  • Paid sick leave: 1 hour paid leave accrued for every 40 hours worked

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • Hardware, dimension lumber, panels and other building material product knowledge

  • Experience in retail sales

  • Dependable attendance

PREFERRED:

  • 2 to 4 years undergraduate education

  • Applicable experience in hardware and lumber sales

DUTIES:

  • Sell building materials to will-call customers

  • Process cash, check and credit/debit card transactions through point of sale software

  • Assist customers throughout the store, providing prompt and attentive service

  • Assist with customer returns and credits

  • Maintain an awareness of related sales product trends and technical applications related to the building materials industry

  • Maintain inventory in assigned hardware departments

  • Order, check in and stock merchandise in the hardware store

  • Other duties as assigned
